영어로 분수, 소수 읽기 말하기 및 기수 서수 정리

 

분수 (fractions)

: 한국어와 반대로 분자 -> 분모 순으로 읽는다

: 분자는 기수(cardinal number) 분모는 서수(ordinal number)로 읽는다

: 분자(numerator) / 분모 (denominator)  

 

1/3 one third

1/2 one half - one second가 아니라 분모의 2는 half로 읽음

1/4 one forth - one quarter 도 가능

 

분자의 1을 one 대신 a로 발음가능

1/2 a half

1/5 a fifth

1/8 an eighth - eighth 모음이라서 a 대신 an 사용

 

분자가 2이상일때는 분모에 s를 붙임

2/3 two thirds

4/5 four fifths

 

대분수 읽는법은 중간에 and 만 붙이면됨

1과 1/2 one and one half

2와 2/5 two and two fifths

 

복잡할 경우 중간에 over로 구분

123/456 one hundred twwnty three over four hundred fifty sixth

 

 

 

소수 (decimals)

: 소수는 서수 사용하지 않고 모두 기수로 읽음

: 소수점을 기준으로 앞의 숫자는 숫자그대로, 소수점 이하는 하나씩 구분해서 읽음

: 소수점은 point / 0은 zero

 

0.023 zero point zero two three

12.25 twelve point two five - 소수점 앞부분은 one two가 아니라 12그대로 twelve로 읽음

31.31 thirty one point three one
